Legal proof

A timestamp, document fingerprint and completion certificate for every document, aligned with Law 15 of 2004.

Set a signing policy by transaction and role

Start with the requirements of each financial transaction rather than applying one signing level to every document. WQ3 has exactly three levels: electronic signature, remote signing and token signing. Electronic signature suits everyday agreements; consider remote or token signing for formal, high-value contracts or requirements involving a digital certificate.

WQ3 lets you assign a different level to each signer within the same document, accommodating different requirements for a client and a company representative. Before sending, establish who signs personally and who acts for an organisation. Check organisational authority separately: selecting a signing level does not, by itself, establish that someone is authorised to bind a business.

Separate identity assurance from customer due diligence

When a transaction requires proof of the account holder’s identity, you can require an eKYC-verified account alongside any of the three signing levels. eKYC is an account-verification add-on, not a fourth signature level. Keeping these choices separate helps your team define identity checks and signing requirements independently.

For financing, investment and payment businesses, account verification should sit within a broader onboarding review rather than replace it. Define separately what evidence you need for representative authority, beneficial ownership and applicable regulatory checks. Do not treat a verified account or a completed signature as confirmation that every know-your-customer or anti-money-laundering obligation has been satisfied.

Review the final version before inviting signers

Documents are locked once sent in WQ3, so make the pre-send review a clear control point. Check party names, amounts, commercial terms and relevant declarations before inviting anyone to sign. This review should cover signer details and the required level for each participant, not just the wording of the agreement.

Each signer receives an individual invitation showing only what is theirs, while roles and permissions support access control. When designing your internal process, identify who needs document access and who is responsible for checking it before sending. If terms later need correction, establish a clear internal process for replacement documents rather than assuming a sent document can be edited.

Build verification into handover and record keeping

When a completed agreement moves from a client-facing team to operations or review, include verification information in the handover. Contracts signed through WQ3 have a public check page accessible without an account, using a QR code or reference. This gives reviewers a way to inspect the signing record rather than relying on a file’s appearance alone.

Verification compares the file’s SHA-256 fingerprint with the stored fingerprint, revealing a mismatch if the file changes. The record also shows signer names, signature levels and step timestamps. Use this evidence to support document-authenticity checks and record keeping, while keeping it separate from any decision about the underlying transaction’s accuracy, suitability or approval.

Frequently asked questions

Must everyone signing a financial agreement use the same level?+

No. You can assign a different level to each signer in the same document, according to the agreement’s requirements and your organisation’s signing policy.

Does eKYC replace our customer due-diligence process?+

No. The add-on verifies the account holder’s identity; it should not be treated as a complete replacement for know-your-customer, anti-money-laundering or authority checks.

Can a reviewer check a completed contract without a WQ3 account?+

Yes. The public check page is accessible through the QR code or reference to inspect contract authenticity and the signing record.

Is every electronically signed financial agreement automatically enforceable?+

No. Egyptian Law No. 15 of 2004 gives electronic signatures and documents legal validity when its conditions are met. Transaction-specific and applicable regulatory requirements still need review.

How does file verification differ from reviewing the agreement?+

Fingerprint checking establishes whether the file matches the stored version. It does not determine whether the agreement’s terms are accurate, suitable or approved under your policies.
