Privacy policy

Last updated: October 24, 2026. This policy explains how we handle your personal data and documents when you use the WQ3 website and platform.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Fixed Egypt For Digital Solutions and Information Security ("FEDIS", "WQ3", "we", "us") is the controller of personal data processed through the WQ3 website and platform. Where an organization uses WQ3 to send documents to its own customers or employees, that organization is responsible for those documents and WQ3 processes the related data on its behalf.

Contact for privacy matters: legal@fedis.com.eg.

2. Data we collect

Account data: name, email, phone number, organization, job title and password (stored hashed).

Document and signature data: documents you upload or receive, signer names and contact details, signature images, and identity verification results (for example one-time codes or ID checks where enabled).

Audit trail: timestamps, IP address, device and browser information, and actions taken on each document.

Billing data: plan, invoices and billing contact. Card details are handled by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.

Usage and website data: pages visited, feature usage, support messages and form submissions, and cookies as described in our Cookies policy.

3. How we use data and why

To provide the platform: create accounts, deliver, sign, store and verify documents (performance of our contract with you).

To keep audit records and prove the integrity of signed documents, and to meet tax, accounting and legal obligations (legal obligation and legitimate interest).

To secure the platform, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems (legitimate interest).

To send service messages and, with your consent where required, product news. You can unsubscribe at any time.

To improve the platform using aggregated or de-identified usage data.

4. Confidentiality of your documents

Your documents are encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access by WQ3 staff is restricted, logged, and allowed only when needed to provide support you request, keep the service secure, or comply with law.

We do not read your documents for marketing, do not use their contents to train AI models, and never sell them.

5. Sharing

We share data only with: the people you invite to view or sign a document; service providers who host, email, process payments or support the platform for us under contracts requiring confidentiality and security; professional advisers; and authorities when required by law or a valid court order.

If WQ3 is involved in a merger or acquisition, data may transfer to the successor under this policy. We do not sell personal data.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside Egypt. When this happens, we transfer data only in accordance with Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and with appropriate safeguards. Organizations on eligible plans may request data residency options.

7. Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. Documents and their audit trails are kept for as long as you keep them on the platform; after account closure we keep them for 30 days for export and then delete them, unless you or the law require longer retention.

Billing records are kept for the period required by Egyptian tax law. Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption, access controls, multi-factor authentication options, monitoring, regular backups and security testing. No system is completely secure; if a breach affecting your data occurs, we will notify you and the competent authority as required by law.

9. Your rights

Under Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020, you have the right to know what data we hold about you and obtain a copy, correct or update it, request deletion, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent at any time, and be informed of any breach.

To exercise these rights, email legal@fedis.com.eg. We will respond within the period set by law. For documents sent to you by an organization, we may refer your request to that organization. You may also complain to the Personal Data Protection Center in Egypt.

10. Children

The platform is not intended for persons under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the platform and, with your consent, analytics cookies. See our Cookies policy for details and to change your choices.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy and will post the new version here with its effective date, notifying account holders of material changes.
