Match the document to its legal review needs

Use the document category to frame the review, then confirm signing authority, identity requirements and the required signing form separately. A document’s title alone does not determine which signature level it needs.

01

NDAs and supplier agreements

For everyday agreements, consider electronic signature. Where an agreement is formal or high-value, assess remote or token signing against the transaction’s requirements.

02

Board resolutions, powers of attorney and authorization letters

Check the authority being granted or exercised and the receiving organisation’s requirements. A matching document fingerprint does not establish a signer’s authority.

03

Contract amendments

Read the amended obligations, dates and attachments before relying on the signed copy. File verification supports integrity checks; it does not assess the suitability of the terms.

04

Bilingual contracts

WQ3 supports Arabic and English signing. For international parties, confirm the required signing form in light of the governing law and receiving organisation.

A practical checklist around the signing workflow

1. Define the evidence needed. Separate proof of identity, signing authority and file integrity so the team knows what each check must establish.

2. Check recipients and access. Before sending, confirm the intended participants and whether the document contains appropriate information for each recipient. WQ3 controls access through roles, permissions and individual invitations.

3. Set each signer’s requirements. Choose the signing level individually and decide whether an eKYC-verified account is needed. Different signers can use different levels within one document.

4. Complete the pre-send checks. Documents lock once sent, so make recipient and content checks part of preparation rather than leaving them until circulation.

5. Prepare the handover. As an internal filing practice, keep the exact final file, completion certificate and verification reference together, noting any unresolved review questions.

Choose among three signing levels

Select the level for the transaction, not just the document label. For formal or cross-border matters, confirm the required form before sending.

01

Electronic signature

A fit for everyday agreements, including routine NDAs or supplier agreements where requirements allow. Signers use a secure invitation link on any device.

02

Remote signing

Consider for formal or high-value contracts and workflows requiring a digital certificate, subject to the receiving organisation’s requirements.

03

Token signing

Consider for formal or high-value contracts where the workflow calls for USB-token signing support.

04

Optional account verification

eKYC is an account-verification add-on available with any level, not a fourth signing level. Require it when the signer’s identity must be proven.

Follow deadlines, then check the evidence

Treat reminder ownership and signing deadlines as part of your team’s internal procedure: decide who follows up and when. These are recommended working practices, not claims of automated reminder or deadline features.

For review, use the audit trail and completion certificate to examine who acted and when. Every plan includes a tamper-evident audit trail.

To verify a signed contract, scan the QR code on the final file or completion certificate. The public check page requires no account and shows signer names, signing levels and timestamps. Compare the file’s SHA-256 fingerprint with the stored fingerprint; investigate a mismatch before relying on the copy.

WQ3 is aligned with Egypt’s E-Signature Law No. 15 of 2004. Verification supports review, but does not replace assessment of authority, terms or transaction-specific legal requirements.

Frequently asked questions

How should legal teams choose a signature level for each party?+

WQ3 offers exactly three levels: electronic signature, remote signing and token signing, with a different level available for each signer in the same document. Electronic signature suits everyday agreements, while remote or token signing should be considered for formal, high-value contracts or requirements for a digital certificate. Base the choice on the contract's requirements and applicable law.

Is eKYC account verification a separate signature level?+

No. eKYC is an add-on that verifies the account holder's identity, and an eKYC-verified account can be required with any of the three signature levels. It addresses account-holder identity rather than replacing legal review of that person's authority to sign for another entity.

Does using WQ3 automatically make every document legally enforceable?+

No; WQ3 is aligned with Egypt's E-Signature Law No. 15 of 2004 and its executive regulations, under which electronic signatures and documents receive legal validity when the prescribed conditions are met. Legal teams should review document-specific requirements, signatory authority and any necessary formalities, particularly for powers of attorney and board resolutions.

How can someone check whether a copy has changed since signing?+

The public verification page compares the file's SHA-256 fingerprint with the stored fingerprint so that any change is revealed. It can be accessed without an account through the QR code on the final file and completion certificate. This check helps establish file integrity but does not replace review of the contract's substance or the signers' authority.

What should legal teams review before sending a cross-border agreement?+

Review the applicable law, each party's signature requirements and any document-specific formalities. WQ3 describes its alignment with ESIGN and UETA in the United States and eIDAS in the European Union, alongside Egyptian law, but alignment does not mean every signature level has the same legal effect in every situation. Select the appropriate level after assessing the transaction and the relevant parties' requirements.
