WQ3 signature levels

Choose the signature strength each contract needs, and set a different level for each signer in the same document.

Signature levels

Three signature levels. Pick the one each contract needs.

All recognised under Egyptian E-Signature Law No. 15 of 2004. Set a different level for each signer, and optionally require an account verified with eKYC.

Standard · legally binding

Electronic signature

A drawn signature confirmed with a code sent by email, for everyday agreements.

  • A private link for each signer, no account
  • HMAC-SHA256 fingerprint and completion certificate
  • A public check page for every contract

From any browser, nothing to install

Qualified · no token

Remote signing

A certified digital signature from a licensed provider, with the key held securely in the cloud, so you sign from any device without a token.

  • A digital certificate in the signer's name
  • Confirm each signature with a code or app
  • PAdES with a certified timestamp

From a phone or computer

Qualified · highest proof

Token digital signature

Use the signing or company-seal token issued by Misr for Central Clearing, Egypt Trust, Fixed Misr or others.

  • The private key never leaves the token
  • Signature inside the PDF (PAdES) + TSA
  • Any later change breaks the seal

What each level proves and its legal strength

WQ3 is aligned with ESIGN / UETA in the US, the three EU eIDAS levels: simple (SES), advanced (AES) and qualified (QES), and Egypt's E-Signature Law No. 15 of 2004.

Electronic signature

Basic

What it proves

The signer controlled the email or phone and agreed to the document at a recorded time.

Remote signing

Highest

What it proves

Signed with a qualified certificate held by a licensed provider and approved remotely. Same legal effect as a handwritten signature.

How the signer is checked

Qualified certificate + confirmation code

  • eIDAS QES
  • Law 15 / 2004

Token digital signature

Highest

What it proves

Signed with a qualified certificate on a token the signer holds. Same legal effect as a handwritten signature.

Token + PIN

  • eIDAS QES
  • Law 15 / 2004

Account verification with eKYC (add-on)

Not a signing level, but an add-on that verifies the user's account: the official ID is checked digitally with a live face match and spoof detection. It can be required with any level to strengthen proof of who signed.

Choose the level based on the risk and legal requirements of each document. Every level keeps a timestamp, a document fingerprint and a full audit trail.

How to choose the right level

Use an electronic signature for everyday agreements, and remote or token signing for formal, high-value contracts and organisations that require a certified digital certificate. When the signer's identity must be proven, require an eKYC-verified account with any level.
