How WQ3 helps

01

Ready templates

Construction contracts signed on site from a phone.

02

Live tracking

See who signed and who is late, with automatic reminders.

03

Legal proof

A timestamp, document fingerprint and completion certificate for every document, aligned with Law 15 of 2004.

Define the agreement before requesting signatures

Before sending a construction document, make sure it identifies exactly what each party is accepting. Include the project reference, scope of work, relevant drawing or specification revisions, and exclusions so the agreement does not depend on separate conversations.

For a variation, distinguish a request to assess a change from an instruction authorising it. State the proposed effects on price, programme and responsibilities, and identify unresolved items rather than allowing a signature to imply broader acceptance than intended.

WQ3 locks documents once sent, making commercial and technical review important before signing begins. If the agreement needs changing later, document the amendment clearly and connect it to the earlier agreement rather than treating an edited local copy as the signed record.

Separate signer identity from signing authority

Knowing who signed is different from knowing whether they can bind the contractor. Before sending, check the contracting entity, the signer's role and their authority for the specific commitment; acknowledging a site delivery and accepting a financial claim may require different authority.

WQ3 has exactly three levels: electronic signature, remote signing and token signing. You can assign a different level to each signer within one document, reflecting each party's requirements rather than assuming every participant needs the same approach.

Use electronic signature for everyday agreements, and consider remote or token signing for formal or high-value contracts. Where account-holder identity needs verification, add eKYC to any level; it is an account-verification add-on, not a fourth signing level or proof of corporate authority.

Make the meaning of handover acceptance explicit

A handover record should explain whether a signature acknowledges receipt, accepts completed work or records outstanding items. These meanings are not interchangeable, and unclear wording can leave delivery and commercial teams interpreting the same document differently.

Identify the area or work package being handed over, list observations and unfinished work, and specify who is responsible for follow-up. If inspections or supporting documents remain outstanding, say so explicitly instead of relying on each signer to remember earlier site discussions.

Keep the signed record with the project documentation under your own record-keeping procedures. WQ3's audit trail can support review of the signing sequence, but it does not replace a technical inspection or independently establish the quality of completed work.

Verify the copy used in a project review

When a signed file passes between project teams and contract reviewers, check its authenticity before relying on it for a decision. WQ3 provides a public verification page accessible through a QR code or reference without an account.

Verification compares the file's SHA-256 fingerprint with the stored fingerprint to reveal changes. The verification record shows signer names, signature levels and step timestamps, helping reviewers distinguish the signed version from a subsequently edited copy.

This evidence supports document review but does not, by itself, settle disputed payment entitlement or technical approval. Egyptian E-Signature Law No. 15 of 2004 gives electronic signatures and documents legal validity when its conditions are met, so assess contractual requirements and signer authority alongside file integrity.

Frequently asked questions

Can two parties use different signing levels in the same document?+

Yes. WQ3 lets you set a different level for each signer in one document. Choose electronic signature, remote signing or token signing according to the agreement and each party's requirements.

Does eKYC prove a site engineer can authorise a variation?+

No. The eKYC add-on verifies the account holder's identity, not their authority within a company. Check the appropriate delegation separately, particularly where a variation creates a financial commitment or changes the programme.

What should we do if the scope changes after sending?+

Documents are locked once sent in WQ3, so do not treat a local edit as an update to the sent record. Prepare a corrected document or clear amendment as appropriate, and identify its relationship to the earlier document before requesting the necessary signatures.

Can a handover record be signed with work still outstanding?+

Make the outstanding work explicit and state what the signature means. Signing does not automatically turn acknowledgement of receipt into final acceptance; the record's wording and the contract terms remain central to its interpretation.

Does a reviewer need a WQ3 account to verify the file?+

No. A reviewer can access the public verification page using the QR code or reference. Verification supports fingerprint comparison and shows signer names, signing levels and step timestamps.
